The Poly Post is Cal Poly Pomona's student-run newspaper. The Bronco Guide is an annually published magazine, produced by The Poly Post. The 2022-2023 Bronco Guide was designed collaboratively with Sharon Wu, Trinity Fraire, and Justin Oo. We also worked alongside the editorial team.
Due to the pandemic, the majority of our meetings were held over Zoom and everything was organized via a shared Google Drive. Meetings were weekly and designers would support critiques for layout designs, in order to meet publication expectations.
Layout Spreads:
With the layout spreads, I conceptualized the layout design to correlate its story with relevant and original imagery. The spreads would provide informational content regarding Cal Poly Pomona campus life and the overall college experience. Each designer was tasked and assigned their own stories to develop spreads for.
My Bronco Fitspo layout design received an honorable mention from the ACP's Spring 2022 'Clips & Clicks' competition. There were approximately 450 submissions in the national collegiate competition and judges were collegiate professors, student media advisers, and professional journalists.
Media Kit
I created a media kit for The Poly Post to send out to businesses to promote advertising space on The Poly Post website and Bronco Guide magazine at 3 different audience levels: local, national, and CPP.
